He works in oils, which enables him to capture the
effects of colour in light and shade. He challenges his viewers to look ever
closer for the ultimate. He paints with a clarity that enforces the values of a
disappearing culture in a developing country.
He draws inspiration for his work by constantly
observing nature, the different shades of colour in a single tree , the shadow
cast by each ripple as light shines across water, the reflections of figures (a
stone, a piece of stick, a person)on the wet shore-line.
